Designing for Climate Finance in Emerging Markets

A new climate equity fund in the Middle East and South Asia partners with us to launch a human-centered brand/visual identity and digital experience.

The Challenge

As a new climate finance fund launching across the UAE, Pakistan, and the broader Middle Eastern region, the Climate Equity Fund needed more than just a logo—it needed a clear, human-centered design foundation that could express its purpose, invite trust, and grow with its ambitions. With a mission rooted in equity and regional transition, the fund required a full visual and digital presence that could connect with institutional partners and local stakeholders alike.

The project spanned both strategy and execution: building a scalable brand identity, creating a narrative-led web experience, and enabling the client team to take full ownership of their tools. The challenge was not only to design—but to co-create, transfer capacity, and set them up for long-term impact.

I really appreciate the team always taking out the time at all times anytime requested. The team, especially Umair, has always been thorough with our requirements and has incorporated our feedback into the website very well. As a client I never felt like Ideate was trying to get the job done quickly, they were always there to get the job done well.

The Work

Building a Responsive Brand System from the Ground Up

We began by immersing ourselves in the fund’s mission and stakeholder landscape. Through collaborative working sessions and iterative feedback cycles, we developed a full brand identity system—logo, color palette, typography, visual language, and UI iterations—that feel regionally grounded, globally credible, and communicate across contexts. We designed the system to flex seamlessly across both print and digital use cases, from business cards and letterheads to high-visibility presentations and online tools.

Designing a Narrative-Driven, Human-Centered Web Experience

To bring the fund’s mission to life online, we designed and developed a fully responsive website using Framer—building for clarity, storytelling, and future growth. We co-created content with the client team, designing technical and strategic material into clear, engaging copy that speaks to multiple audiences: investors, policymakers, and community partners. The site’s structure was built around key user journeys, ensuring that visitors could easily find what they need—whether they’re exploring the fund’s focus areas or downloading key reports. We prioritized scannability, device responsiveness, and a visually striking, confident tone throughout the user experience.

Capacity Sharing & Sustainable Handover

In line with our human-centered design ethos, we didn’t just deliver a system—we also designed for ease of use and future scalability. After launch, we supported the fund’s internal team with upskilling: walkthroughs and documentation to help them confidently manage their brand and site moving forward. This phase also included feedback cycles to make sure the tools felt intuitive for the team.

The Outcome

The Climate Equity Fund now has a clear, confident identity and digital presence—one that reflects its values, communicates its goals, and invites meaningful engagement across the region. From concept to execution, our work embedded adaptability, and storytelling at every layer. The result is a platform for trust and action in the climate finance space
